Prof. Rangan Banerjee is currently Director, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Previously, he worked at IIT Bombay, where he served as the Forbes Marshall Chair Professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering - a Department that he helped start in 2007. His areas of interest include energy management, modelling of energy systems, energy planning and policy, hydrogen energy and fuel cells.

He is the founder of Arun Duggal Centre of Excellence for Research in climate change and Air pollution at IIT Delhi. He is Chairman of ICRA (A Subsidiary of Moody’s USA). He is on the Boards of Directors of ITC Limited (Chair Audit Committee), and Jubilant Pharma Limited, Singapore (Chair Nominating Committee). Mr. Arun Duggal is a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad where he teaches a course on Venture Capital and Private Equity. He is an experienced international Banker and has advised companies and financial institutions on Financial Strategy, M & A and Capital Raising. Mr. Duggal has also been Chairman and on the Board of other companies in India, Korea, Australia, Singapore, London and South Africa. Mr. Duggal had a 26 years’ career with Bank of America, mostly in the U.S., Hong Kong and Japan. His last assignment was as Chief Executive of Bank of America in India. He is the founder of Women on Corporate Boards program in India under which high potential women are mentored individually by Corporate Leaders to prepare them for Board careers. Women from this program are serving on over 200 corporate Boards. Mr. Duggal is also the Chairman of IIT Delhi Endowment Fund. which is India’s first alumni endowment fund by an educational institute. Mr. Duggal is a Trustee of Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI). CMI is a Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Research in Mathematical sciences. Mr. Duggal is Founder of recently established ESG Research Centre at IIM, Ahmedabad. He is leading a research project at IIM, Ahmedabad to enhance Gender balance at Senior Executive level in Indian Companies. A Mechanical Engineer from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (recipient of Distinguished Alumni Service Award in 2019), Mr. Duggal holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (recipient of Distinguished Alumnus Award).

Prof. Sunil Kumar Khare holds the position of Dean R&D and Professor of Biochemistry and Institute Chair Professor at IIT Delhi. An alumnus of IIT Delhi, he received his doctoral degree in Biochemistry (1990). He did his Postdoctoral research at National Food Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan. Prof. Khare has more than 30 years of academic and industrial research experience with 190+ publications and patents. His current noteworthy contributions have been in the area of differential proteomics of solvent-tolerant/halophilic class of extremophiles and deciphering nanotoxicity mechanisms in plant and microbial systems.

Dr. S. Mishra is Associate Dean R&D and Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a recipient of the INSA medal for young scientist, the INAE young engineer award, and the INAE silver jubilee young engineer award. He has earned the credit to become the youngest fellow in the electrical engineering section of INAE at the age of 38 in the year 2009. He is also a fellow of IET UK, IETE India and IE India. He is currently holding the position of INAE chair professor.

Bodh Raj Mehta is presently Director (Research, Innovation and Development) at Jaypee Education System. He has been a former Emeritus Professor, former Dean (R&D) and Schlumberger Chair Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India. He is also the founder of VEDUEM a non-profit enterprise for providing Make & Learn Education to school students. He is a Mentor and Technical Advisor to successful deep technology Start-ups: Ornate Solar, Invert Energy and Ultra Solar Technology USA

Sh Ajit Kumar Seth is a former IAS officer of 1974 batch who retired as Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India. An alumnus of St. Stephen's College, Delhi, from where he did his graduation and post-graduation in Chemistry, Seth obtained an M.Phil. in Life Sciences from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Masters in Development Finance from the University of Birmingham, U.K. In 2015, the University of Birmingham conferred upon him a Doctorate honoris causa. In a varied and distinguished career, his past assignments include postings in the Ministry of Commerce, the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations at Geneva (dealing with GATT / UNCTAD) and Ministry of Textiles. Earlier, in Uttar Pradesh, he served as Principal Secretary - Rural Development, Special Secretary - Industries, Divisional Commissioner of Kumaon Division (Nainital) and District Magistrate Collector, Lucknow. In June 2011, Seth was appointed Cabinet Secretary, a position on which he served till his superannuation in June, 2015. Thereafter,he was appointed Chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board. He was also a Member of the Advisory Council of Asian Development Bank Institute between 2011 and 2015. Ajit Kumar Seth (68), joined the ITC Board as a Non-Executive Independent Director effective July 13, 2019.At present, he is associated with some social and economic development projects synergistic with national priorities. He has long been interested in Disaster Management and Climate Change.

A former member of Indian Administrative Officer (1973 batch), Sh Ajay Shankar retired as Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion in the Government of India in December, 2009. He served as Member Secretary of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC from 2011-2014. Some of the major recommendations of NMCC have been taken up for implementation by the Government including the National Skill Mission, Facilitating Start-ups, Reform of Labour Laws and reducing the Regulatory burden on enterprises. As Joint Secretary and then Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power, he played a key role in enactment of the Electricity Act, 2003, and Rules and policies under it. He was also instrumental in promoting private sector participation in the Power Sector including the Ultra Mega Power Projects. Before serving as Secretary (DIPP), he served as Principal Adviser in the Planning Commission looking after Environment and Forests, Water and Sanitation as well as provision of Rural Infrastructure and contributed to the preparation of the Eleventh Five Year Plan in these areas. He has been the CEO of Greater Noida industrial Development Authority and has served on the Boards of major public sector companies such as IDBI, EXIM Bank, NTPC, NHPC, PFC and REC and has also served as an Independent Director on the Boards of HAL, Tata Global Beverages and L&T. He has been a public policy scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Centre in Washington D.C. USA. His articles on economic policy issues have been appearing in the national papers. He is a Distinguished Fellow, TERI and has a Masters in Political Science from Allahabad University and a Masters in Economics from Georgetown University, Washington D.C.

Krishan Dhawan worked for Bank of America for 23 years including as Managing Director for international corporate banking based in Los Angeles, Sr VP of Asia Corporate and Investment banking in HongKong and as Head of Corporate Bank in India. Krishan also served as Managing Director of Oracle India and was at the helm of overall business performance of Oracle in the Indian market. Krishan is a former CEO of Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation which he joined in 2012 after an extensive corporate career at Bank of America and at Oracle. He is also a founder trustee of IIMPACT, a NGO engaged in providing primary education to girls from socially and economically challenged backgrounds in rural areas. He is a graduate in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Currently, Krishan is a Director at The Antara Foundation and Chair, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Task Force at Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). He is also a member of governing board of Chandrakanta Kesavan Centre for Energy Policy and Climate Solutions.
